FINAL FANTASY III PSP OR 3DS PLUS

However, thanks to Mato/Tomato (responsible for many popular fan translations) this awesome hack is available in English! Learn more from the hack's homepage and live translation page. It's a popular ROM hack in Japan, and remained in Japan due to being only in Japanese. This ROM hack retains the existing game and adds a ton of new, creative content all around it. If you need help with patching, I have instructions in my patching guide.
FINAL FANTASY III PSP OR 3DS PATCH
To experience their hacks, you must apply their patch to the original game. ROM hackers release their works as patches. Fans have gone out of their way to provide us with uncensored, high-quality English translations of Final Fantasy VI. Additionally, English-to-Japanese translations weren't always done well. It's no secret that Nintendo censored games for North American audiences on the Super Nintendo.

If you need assistance with any of the emulators offered on my site, check out my emulation help subsite: Video Game Emulation for Newbies.ĭue to the release of the Pixel Remasters, I can't host any ROMs here. You can download these emulators from my emulators page. To play the ports, a PlayStation 1 emulator and Nintendo DS emulator are needed.
FINAL FANTASY III PSP OR 3DS SERIES
The series is even more popular than FF in Japan and if you're willing to check it out there are some fantastic remakes of IV, V, and VI for DS, as well as Dragon Quest IX, which was made specifically for DS.You will need a Super Nintendo emulator to play Final Fantasy 6 and the hacks offered on this page. It's apples to oranges where Final Fantasy is concerned, but back in the day this series was FF's biggest competitor. I actually just sold my copy of FFXII: Revenant Wings on eBay the other day, which was an FF Tactics style game.Īlso, while a little bit different than Final Fantasy, I highly recommend the Dragon Quest series. And FFVI is probably the best game in the series, so that's definitely worth checking out, too.ĭon't forget that Chrono Trigger was also on DS, and there have been some Final Fantasy Tactics games between GBA and DS, too.

FFV is kind of an odd one, but worth playing if you're a fan. You're much better off with the remake of FFIV for DS, but you can't go wrong with the 2D version on GBA, either. FFIII on DS wasn't a very good game, IMO. FFII isn't so great, but the first one is classic, and both games have been remade with SNES-level graphics. I recommend Dawn of Souls because it's two games in one. Well since the DS is backwards compatible with the GBA you have a ton of options, my most recommended ones are in bold:įinal Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls (GBA)Īll of them are great.
