I’m going to be a bit controversial here and say I honestly think this ability is fine in terms of what it does and how to deal with it. You’re already disrupting and revealing someone if they’re hit, that extra bit of information is a little overkill.įinally, there’s Seer’s ultimate ability called Exhibit. Knowing what shield they have doesn’t synergize with the rest of his kit and should be a unique ability that only Vantage has to begin with. To nerf this ability I would reduce the time on Seer’s scan from 8 to 6 seconds and make it no longer show your opponent’s health. However, a good Seer can easily work around this and bully enemies trying to heal or revive their comrades. Unlike Bloodhound’s scan which is unavoidable if you’re in front of them, players can dodge Seer’s Focus of Attention. Seer’s Tactical does a lot, but the catch is you have to actually hit someone with it. Upon detonation, any targets will be scanned, have their current actions interrupted, health displayed, and will be visible through walls for eight seconds. Firing a cone of micro-drones in front of them, these will scan any enemy inside of them after a short delay.
His passive, Focus of Attention is remarkably strong. Alternatively, Respawn could make it so this ability only triggers when Seer is unarmed, but this might cause some awkward moments during fights. This would make Heart Seeker less oppressive, while still serving as a way to immediately dictate where a close enemy is moving to. To balance this, I would recommend reducing this ability’s range from 75 to 50 meters.

Without a full rework of his abilities, Seer will always have some minor “wallhack” advantage in fights due to his Heart Seeker passive. Because of this, many folks have been asking Respawn to nerf Seer, but what would that even look like? In a game where information is king, being able to know where enemies are hiding and moving is exceptionally powerful. Since his introduction, Seer has been an exceptionally strong legend thanks to his various abilities that allow him (and his team) to locate enemies through walls. While some obvious pain points such as Valkyrie were addressed, one legend managed to dodge any type of buff or nerf.
When Season 14 of Apex Legends went live there were a lot of balance changes to various weapons and legends.
